Get Ready for the 4th Annual Ballroom & Steppin’ for Cancer Weekend Dinner & Dance!Presented by Mr. Smooth’s Ballroom & Steppers Express Dance Show, this highly anticipated two-day celebration brings together the perfect blend of dance, elegance, entertainment, and philanthropy. A portion of all proceeds will benefit The Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation, founded by renowned cancer researcher Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green. The weekend kicks off on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the luxurious The Showplace (2140 Holbrook Avenue, Hamtramck, MI). Doors open at 5:00 PM, and guests are encouraged to wear Casual Leisure Attire in White & Pink.
Start the evening by sharpening your dance skills with a Hustle Workshop led by the legendary Wanda Mack from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM, followed by a Steppin’ Workshop with the incomparable Sherry Gordon from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Then, dance the night away as the floor remains open until 2:00 AM, featuring the sounds of the incredible DJ Rob Webb.
The excitement continues on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the elegant The Madison Place Event Center (876 Horace Brown Drive, Madison Heights, MI). Dressed in your finest Black & Pink Formal Attire, join us beginning at 5:00 PM for a live taping of Mr. Smooth’s Ballroom & Steppers Express Dance Show, running until 6:30 PM.
At 7:00 PM, guests will enjoy a delicious dinner before an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and entertainment. The soundtrack for the night will be provided by Claude 'DJ C-House' Milhouse, while acclaimed R&B vocalist Carmichael Music Lover delivers a special live performance.
