THE 4TH ANNUAL ECSTATIC CIRCUSA Conscious Halloween Dance Party
Presented by Sonic Experiences & Events — creators of Sonic Springs Festival
This Halloween, Ecstatic Circus returns for its fourth year.
On Saturday, October 31st, we take over the Ottawa Circus School for an immersive Halloween night where music, movement, circus, costumes, wellness and community collide.
This isn't your typical Halloween party.
No crowded bar. No alcohol-fuelled night out.
Instead, expect great DJs, immersive sound and lighting, circus performances, incredible costumes, intentional moments and a dance floor filled with people who came to move, connect and celebrate.
Ecstatic Circus brings together the energy of a Halloween dance party with the heart and intention of conscious gathering.
Come for the music.Come for the costumes.Come for the circus.Come to dance.Come because you're curious.
THE EXPERIENCE
Ecstatic Circus is more than a dance party. The night is designed as a journey, gradually building from intentional connection and movement into a full Halloween celebration.
Opening Wellness Workshops
We begin the evening with a series of guided experiences designed to get you out of your head and into your body.
Each year we bring together different facilitators from our community, with offerings that may include yoga, breathwork, conscious movement, connection practices and other forms of embodied wellness.
No experience is necessary. Participate as much or as little as feels right for you.
Cacao & Intention
Ceremonial cacao has been part of Ecstatic Circus since the beginning. We'll share cacao together and create a moment to arrive, connect and set an intention before moving deeper into the night.
The Dance Party
As the evening builds, the lights go down, the music goes up and the space transforms into a full dance floor.
Expect a carefully curated musical journey through global rhythms, house, organic and psychedelic sounds, bass and electronic music — all powered by an immersive sound and lighting experience.
Dance however you want. There are no steps to learn and no right way to move.
Circus & Aerial Performances
We're inside a circus school after all.
Throughout the night, circus and aerial performers will take to the space, bringing another layer of movement, spectacle and play to the experience.
Costumes & Creative Expression
This is Halloween night, and we encourage you to go for it.
Wild, beautiful, strange, hilarious, mystical, theatrical — whatever Halloween means to you.
Honouring Those Who Came Before Us
Halloween has long carried traditions of remembrance alongside celebration. We'll create a moment within the evening to honour ancestors, loved ones and those who are no longer physically with us.
Immersive Production & Surprises
Lighting, visuals, décor, performance and unexpected moments will transform the Ottawa Circus School into another world for one night.
The full lineup of DJs, workshops, facilitators and performers will be announced in the weeks ahead.
ALL AGES ARE WELCOME
Ecstatic Circus is an alcohol-free gathering, and we love creating spaces where different generations can celebrate together.
Families and kiddos are welcome to join us.
The opening portion of the evening includes guided wellness and movement experiences that sometimes invite stillness, listening and deeper presence. If you're bringing little ones, we simply ask that you help them participate respectfully or step outside the workshop space with them if they need to move, play or make some noise.
Once the dance floor opens, bring on the energy.
MUSIC. ART. WELLNESS. COMMUNITY.
For the past five years, we've been building Sonic Springs Festival around a simple idea: music, art, wellness and community belong together.
Ecstatic Circus brings that same spirit into one unforgettable Halloween night in Ottawa.
It's a place to dance hard without needing alcohol. To dress wildly. To try something new. To bring your family or your friends. To connect with community. And to experience Halloween a little differently.
