This isn’t your average spelling bee - in fact, it’s not a real spelling bee at all!The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a wildly funny musical comedy about six gloriously awkward kids competing for the ultimate prize: spelling supremacy (and maybe a little validation from their parents).
With catchy songs, hilariously inappropriate moments, audience participation, adolescent oversharing, and words nobody should reasonably be expected to spell, this Tony Award-winning comedy is equal parts ridiculous, heartfelt, and delightfully weird.
Come for the spelling. Stay for the emotional b-a-g-g-a-g-e.
