The festive musical comedy "The 1940s Radio Hour," with a book by Walton Jones and music by various composers, runs Nov. 19-Dec. 20. Jeffrey Bracco directs, with music direction by Katie Coleman and choreography by Christine Scadina. It’s December 21, 1942, and The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade is broadcasting live from the Hotel Astor. Join the studio audience for a delightful, musical trip back in time, featuring “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “I’ll Be Seeing You” and other ‘40s favorites. All the while, a harassed producer copes with a panoply of lovable characters, including a drunk lead singer, a fame-hungry delivery boy, and a trumpet-playing sound effects man who chooses a fighter plane over Glenn Miller.
This production is generously supported by Executive Producers Cheryl, Susan & Chris Barker and Producers Nancy B. Coleman & Paul M. Resch and Richard & Peggy James.
