The challenge is on
Join the Mavericks for the 12 Pubs of Christmas Challenge 2026, an unforgettable social experience taking place across Nottingham city centre.
Beginning at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem beside Nottingham Castle, we will follow a planned route through twelve selected pubs, with games, creative challenges, group activities and memorable video moments throughout the evening.
Whether you are coming to complete the challenges, compete for the Captain's band, meet new people or simply enjoy the atmosphere, expect a night filled with friendly competition, laughter and Mavericks energy.
Attendance is completely free. Attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own food and drinks. Alcohol is optional, and everyone is welcome to participate with water, soft drinks, mocktails or other non-alcoholic options.
The video challenge
At each pub, attendees will record a short video while holding their chosen drink.
“This is my first pint at the Mavericks' 12 Pubs of Christmas. Let's go!”
At each following pub, the number will change. The pattern will continue through the route, ending with: Mavera Christmas to you all

The purpose is to capture the changing energy, humour and atmosphere of the evening. A drink does not have to contain alcohol, and nobody will be required to finish a drink or consume it quickly. By proceeding, you consent to being photographed and filmed.
