About this Event
Please join Friends of Bogardus Plaza and your neighbors on October 18th from 3-5pm for the 10th (!) annual Great Tribeca Scavenger Hunt: a friendly competition where teams race around Tribeca finding clues, completing missions and answering trivia to win one of 11 prizes totaling over $1,800 donated by local businesses. All proceeds benefit Bogardus Plaza, a local, volunteer-led, non-profit public pedestrian plaza in Tribeca. Tickets are $40/person ($35/person presale available through 10/6) for ages 7+. No charge for under 7 but not recommended, lots of walking.
RULES
- Advance purchase required.
- Teams must have a minimum of 3 paying players.
- Recommend at least one player on each team be 13+.
- All attendees must have their own ticket.
- Teams need one data-enabled smart phone and the GooseChase app.
- All attendees must accept waiver terms and conditions.
- Game is limited to a maximum of 35 teams.
- All points and winner decisions are final.
- Tickets are non refundable.
- Event will take place light rain or shine.
- No wheels! Scooters and bikes are not permitted. Any team using them will be disqualified from prizes. Walking only (strollers permitted).
DETAILS
- Game is best suited for ages 7+ (no charge for players under 7 but not recommended)
- Players form their own teams of 3+ players in advance of game day.
- Each team must have at least three players that have paid
- Teams don't have to purchase tickets together
- The suggested max number of players per team is 6.
- Instructions are sent out 24 hours prior to all ticket holders.
- The Hunt starts promptly at 3pm and ends at 4:30pm in Bogardus Plaza.
- Teams must be present at the awards ceremony (4:30) in order to collect a prize.
- Prizes are awarded by team, not by individual player.

The top 11 teams choose (in rank order from 1st to 11th place) their prize from the following options (combined value of over $1,800):
- Locanda Verde: Dinner for four approximately $500
- Forgione: Dinner with wine pairing for two approximately $400
- Elan Flowers: Centerpiece arrangement $250
- Serafina: $150
- Taste of Tribeca: Two tickets $130
- Lola Jewelry: $100
- Van Leeuwen Ice cream: $75
- Downtown Yogurt : $50
- Laughing Man Cafe: $50
- Shake Shack: $50
- Apollo Bagels: $50
