About this Event
Thanksgiving with Mercy House is an in-person volunteer event. Join us to lend a hand and share in the spirit of Thanksgiving! Here's a look into how the BLNC Dinner Service will operate:
-Volunteers will arrive at 4:30pm for role assignments and expectations for the service.
-Dinner service will begin at 5pm.
-Designated food runners will grab pre prepared plates from the serving window and begin distributing them to our clients.
-Once food is distributed, we encourage volunteers to create conversation with our clients. A little small talk goes a long way!
-As clients finish their meals, volunteers will collect plates and take them to the dish room window, discard any leftover food or trash and place dishes in dish pit for BLNC staff to wash.
-At 6pm, the service window will shut. Volunteers will assist with the last bit of cleanup or are free to head out!
- Volunteers Must be 18yrs+
- All Volunteers Must be registered to volunteer before the date of event
