Thanks to Darren, many of us met and pursued a passion for mountaineering through the Mountain Ascent Association (MAA).Because of this community, I’ve had the chance to:
• Splitboard Mt. Shasta and Mt. Hood.
• Learn rock and ice climbing at Donner Lake, Hyalite Canyon, Lee Vining, and Smith Rock
• Learn winter survival and snow camping
• Volunteer in Yosemite Valley
Even better than the adventures, though, are the amazing people I’ve met along the way.
Eric, Paul, Scott, Leath, and I are meeting up with Darren to say a huge thank you. We are extending the invitation to anyone else who wants to join us and share their appreciation for Darren and MAA. We are open to ideas on decor, gift, etc.
