CLASS INFORMATION
Using a variety of donated, found and self-owned existing garments, students will design and construct a piece of art-wear-clothing. Garment assembly will rely on standard sewing techniques, together with quasi-stitching, such as Velcro, zippers, glue and tape. Topics will include assemblage and collage in the art world and looking at designers whose fashion work addresses recycling through the use of repurposed textiles.
