Dwarhatta & Haripal
An ancient ' janapada' or village of Bengal, the history of Dwarhatta and Haripal date back to propably 8th to 12th century.
The terracotta temples, the folklores, the stories of the Gods and the Goddesses , the zamindaris, the zamindar family Pujas, the exclusive rituals those which are still performed will tell you about the rich legacies of the place.
We will visit 3 centuries old , traditional pujas of the zamindars and visit historical places.

নবমী, 20th October প্রতিবারের মতোই এবার ও নতুন এক ইতিহাস বিজড়িত গ্রামের পুজো দেখতে যাব আমরা।
অতি প্রাচীন সে ইতিহাস।
অষ্টম শতাব্দী থেকে দ্বাদশ শতাব্দী জুড়ে তৈরি হয়েছিল বাংলার হরিপাল ও দ্বারহট্ট অঞ্চল।
এক পাল বংশীয় রাজার পুত্র প্রথমে এ গ্রামের পত্তন করেন।
এরপর ধীরে ধীরে গড়ে ওঠে জনবসতি, ব্যবসা, বাণিজ্য। ষোড়শ শতাব্দী প্রথম দিকে শুরু হয় রায়দের দুর্গাপুজো। তারপর তাদেরই গুরু গৃহ ভট্টাচার্য বাড়ির পুজো।
সিংহ রায় পরিবার এ অঞ্চলে এসেছিল সুদূর রাজস্থান থেকে। দ্বারহট্টর সিংহ রায় দের মা দ্বারিকা চণ্ডীর পুজো সম্ভবত আরও আগে শুরু। অন্য আরেক সিংহ পরিবারের বাড়ির পুজো শুরু প্রায় তিন শতক আগে।
ভারী মায়ামাখা,ছায়াঢাকা এই হরিপাল আর দ্বারহট্ট অঞ্চল। দু দণ্ড জিরিয়ে নিতে মন চায়।
আমরাও জিরিয়ে নেব। কলকাতার Cacophony থেকে দূরে, সবুজ গাছপালা, কাকচক্ষু জলের বিল আর নীল আকাশের মাঝে খানিক হারিয়ে যেতে অবশ্যই চলুন আমাদের সাথে।
