About the Show:
Texture is one of the first ways we come to know the world, shaping how we perceive, remember, and connect. In art, texture is both a physical presence and an expressive language, revealing the passage of time, the accumulation of experience, and the traces of human touch.
In this exhibition, Doug Hammett and Brad Davis explore texture through materials, surfaces, forms, and ideas, inviting viewers to look closer, discover unexpected relationships, and experience the layers of meaning, memory, and emotion that give a work of art depth beyond the surface.
