Why not plan a break from the Christmas shopping this December and join embroidery artist Jessica Grady for a colourful and experimental workshop exploring creative recycled embellishment techniques, using mixed media materials and hand stitch. You will begin the workshop creating a stitched and embellished artwork, in which you can try out all the different materials and techniques that Jessica will demonstrate,
including 2D and 3D embellishment ideas.
Jessica will show you how you can utilise a range of mixed media materials to create your technique sampler including recycled plastic sequins, couched washers, electric cable sleeve and dyed sponges and tubing, as well as more traditional beads, buttons and embellishments. Jessica will also go through her tips and tricks for design composition, deciding on colour palettes and building your embellishments to add
height, intricacy and detail.
This workshop is being organised by Lincolnshire Textiles. It’s £35 for members and £45 for non members and we currently have just four spaces left. For more info or to book your place please email [email protected]
