Gaston, poète et cinéaste vieillissant, vit reclus dans la maison familiale, située dans une ancienne région minière du Luxembourg. Cette zone d'à peine deux kilomètres carrés, où se côtoient ruines industrielles et nature sauvage et dont il a documenté poétiquement les transformations tout au long de sa vie, est la source de toute son inspiration artistique. Malgré son travail topographique, les repères de Gaston commencent lentement à s'estomper.

Gaston, ein alternder Dichter und Filmemacher, lebt zurückgezogen in seinem Elternhaus in einer früheren Bergbaugegend Luxemburgs. Das kaum zwei Quadratkilometer große Gebiet, in dem sich Industrieruinen und wilde Natur begegnen und dessen Wandel er zeitlebens poetisch dokumentiert, ist die Quelle all seiner künstlerischen Inspiration. Trotz seiner topografischen Arbeit beginnen Gastons Orientierungspunkte langsam zu verblassen.

Gaston, an ageing poet and filmmaker, lives a secluded life in his parents' house in a former mining area of Luxembourg. The area, barely two square kilometres in size, where industrial ruins meet wild nature and whose transformation he has documented poetically throughout his life, is the source of all his artistic inspiration. Despite his topographical work, Gaston's points of reference are slowly beginning to fade.
What will remain of his world?
