About this Event
Tenx9 Newark Storytelling: Settled
Join us for an evening of true stories told live and in person. This November, Tenx9 Newark explores the theme of Settled — from finding somewhere to call home and putting down roots to settling old scores, making peace with the past or discovering that life doesn't always go to plan.
Expect an evening full of connection, laughter, honesty and surprises as nine storytellers each share a true story from their lives in just ten minutes.
Whether you come to tell a story or simply to listen, you’ll be part of a welcoming night that celebrates community, creativity and shared experience.
Call for Stories Now Open
Hosted by award-winning Newark author Emma Oldham and memoir writer Sophie Ayers, this month’s event invites stories inspired by the theme of Settled. As always with Tenx9, the theme is open to interpretation.
Maybe you've finally found a place where you belong, settled into a new chapter of life, made peace with something that once kept you awake at night, or settled for something less than you dreamed of. Perhaps you've settled an argument, faced an unsettling experience, or discovered that the moment you thought you had everything figured out, life had other ideas.
If you’d like to tell a story, submit your true story for consideration by emailing [email protected]. Entries close on Sunday 22nd November.
