About this Event
All are welcome for an inside look at Temple Chai’s new Scottsdale synagogue campus, designed by Jones Studio. Rooted in Jewish tradition and responsive to the Sonoran Desert landscape, the campus brings worship, education, and community life together through a thoughtful connection of indoor and outdoor spaces to support gathering, interaction, and a sense of belonging. Presented by the AIA Phoenix Metro Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Committee, join us Thursday, September 24 at 4pm.
Led by architects from Jones Studio, the tour will explore the design process and the ways' cultural identity, place, and security informed the project. Highlights will include the sanctuary, classrooms, art room, playgrounds, a community corridor, gardens, courtyards, and flexible gathering spaces.
Attendees will discover how the design creates a welcoming environment that reflects Temple Chai’s traditions while supporting the evolving needs of its community.
The tour will begin promptly at 4:00PM. Attendees will receive 1.0 HSW LU from AIA.
Please RSVP in advance, as space is limited. This event is $10 for all AIA members (Architects, Associates and Allied). Non-members can attend for $25.
