About this Event
@nola_nacular and @euclidrecordsnola present:
Long before streaming services, or podcasts, there was Tellus—a radically ambitious publication that imagined recorded sound as an exhibition space. Founded in 1983 in downtown New York, Tellus transformed the humble audio cassette into a magazine, commissioning and publishing new works by musicians, composers, visual artists, poets, writers, choreographers, and performers who were reshaping the boundaries of contemporary art.
More than forty years later, Earth Libraries @earthlibraries proudly presents @tellusaudiocassettemag TELLUS: The Audio Cassette Magazine Anthology, Vol. 1, the first comprehensive anthology devoted to the groundbreaking publication. Join us on Thursday November 19th for a record listening event and an exclusive screening of the Tellus short-documentary. Hear the record in full for the first time and get a free poster!
