All right verticals, let's do something serious at this time.
We are going to hike the Telapon which is a part of Trans-Mexican active volcanic belt.
The name was derived from the Nahuatl word Tetlapan, meaning "in the river of stones".
Mount Top offers one of the best views of Mexico City and its surroundings.
This is a loop hike!
It's the first hike where we will go above 4000m so make sure you do NOT have altitude sickness.
When?
September 27 (Sunday)
Starts at 9:00 AM
Meeting spot: in front of Monumento de "El Sereno" (Insurgentes, Chapultepec, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc)
Detailed plan:
9:00 - Meeting in front of El Sereno monument
9:15 - Departure from Insurgentes to Izta-Popo-zoquiapan Ecological Park
11:15 - Arriving at trailhead
11:30 - Start hiking
14:00 - Lunch by mountain top
14:30 - Continue hiking
17:30 - Arriving back to trailhead
19:30 - Arriving to CDMX

About 9.7km (expect for full day)
Total elevation: 878m (please keep this into consideration as this hike is NOT for rookies)
Please don't come late as the bus and bus will NOT wait for you
Please bring enough water and food for 8 hours
We do not recommend you to swim at lakes and rivers
