About this Event
Teen Gems is taking over the 92NY Jewelry Center for an afternoon. Find current students at the bench running demos in techniques they are learning to hone: torch-fired enameling, roll printing on the rolling mill, and piercing with a jeweler’s saw. Drop in anytime, watch how it’s done, and give it a try. See finished pieces alongside work in progress, and attend short student talks about what they make and what the program has meant to them. This program was planned and produced by Teen Gems students as part of the program’s professional development component. Teen Gems is a free jewelry-making course for New York City public high school students, who can participate throughout high school.
