- Protocol Vulnerabilities: Securing legacy, unencrypted protocols like Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet. Passive vs.
- Active Scanning: Why standard IT vulnerability scanning crashes PLCs, and how to safely audit OT environments.
- OT Penetration Testing: Conducting specialized, non-disruptive pen testing on staging environments or backup controllers.
- Threat Detection & Anomalies: Deploying deep packet inspection (DPI) to spot unauthorized setpoint changes or rogue firmware updates

Speaker Bio:
Richard Rodriguez is an information security executive with more than 15 years of experience leading enterprise security programs across healthcare, financial services, and critical infrastructure in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. He currently serves as VP of Information Security at SG Impact Ventures AG, advising defense startups and government-owned critical infrastructure operators, following his role as Senior Director, Cybersecurity at LTIMindtree. One of the first 11 people worldwide to earn all nine ISC2 certifications, he holds an Executive MBA and an LL.M in Cybercrime, Cybersecurity and International Law from the U.N.-mandated University for Peace. He serves as an ISC2 Subject Matter Expert, contributing to the development of ISC2 certification exams, an information member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) ISA99 Committee and speaks on cybersecurity strategy, board-level risk communication, and AI governance.
