About the Workshop
Ease into your weekend with a mindful 2.5-hour journey blending the tactile art of Nerikomi pottery with a curated tasting experience featuring Taiwanese, Chinese, and/or Japanese teas paired with handcrafted desserts by Fikalab.
What is Nerikomi (ç·Žă蟌ăż)?
Nerikomi is a traditional Japanese ceramic technique of layering, stacking, and slicing differently colored clays. By combining contrasting clay bodies, intricate graphic patterns, marbled textures, and organic motifs are created that run entirely through the vessel wallâmaking every single piece completely one-of-a-kind.
During this session, youâll learn how to build colored clay patterns and assemble your own custom tea mug while enjoying three distinct tea and dessert pairings designed to create a calm, restorative atmosphere.
Whatâs Included
Guided Nerikomi Instruction: Hands-on teaching of colored clay stacking, pattern slicing, slab construction, and finishing techniques.
