About this Event
Aligned with Florida's HB 851, this interactive, evidence-based training prepares educators and support professionals to effectively support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Participants will develop a deeper understanding of autism and learn practical strategies for creating predictable, inclusive, and academically meaningful learning environments. Topics include classroom structures, behavior supports, instructional practices, student engagement, and fostering independence. By the end of the training, participants will have actionable tools and increased confidence to create autism-informed classrooms where students feel supported.
Teachers will leave the training with a toolkit of materials to utilize in the classroom setting. Teachers will agree to a follow up visit from a CARD staff member to check in on how strategies and implementation of resources are being used.
