Some stories deserve to be told over a really good cup of tea.
This July, Holy Cow Tea invites you to Tea & Talk. An intimate evening of spoken word and shared stories, created as part of South Asian Heritage Month.
This is not a performance night with an audience. There is no stage and no spectators. There is just us; a room of people gathered around tea, ready to speak and ready to listen.
Our theme is What We Carry - the traditions, memories, languages, recipes and feelings passed down through generations. The things we inherit. The things we choose to keep.
Throughout the evening, your host, Tea Sommelier and community-maker Poonam Gupta, will guide you through a curated journey of South Asian teas, each one chosen to accompany the mood and stories of the night.

Dr Padmesh Gupta
Dr Padmesh Gupta is a distinguished poet, writer, educationist and promoter of Hindi language and literature on the global stage. Founder President of UK Hindi Samiti, recipient of the Vishwa Hindi Samman from the Government of India and a national award from the President of India in 2017. A truly extraordinary voice.
Paul Eccentric - The Anti-Poet
Paul is a published songwriter, poet, playwright and novelist, and is probably best known as one half of the comedic beat poetry combo, The Antipoet. He has played hundreds of festivals including Glastonbury, The Edinburgh Fringe and Camp Bestival.
After over 40 years of writing and performing, and having several books published, Paul is now thoroughly enjoying writing in his favourite genre — Steampunk. His series, 'The Periwinkle Perspective' hexalogy, published by Caffeine Nights Books, has been well received, and he is currently writing the follow-on series, 'The Gin Wars'.

GETTING HERE
Holy Cow Tea is located in Weedon village, approximately 10 minutes from Aylesbury town centre. Parking on site is limited; we kindly ask guests to car-share where possible.
When booking please let us know in the notes if you need a lift from Aylesbury or have space to offer. We'll help coordinate so everyone arrives together.
