About this Event

Join us October 23–24 for a screening of TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing followed by Making Revolution Irresistible, a day of participatory workshops on turning political ideas into action.

TCB, directed by Louis Massiah and Monica Henriquez, tells the story of writer, filmmaker, activist, and cultural worker Toni Cade Bambara through a series of lessons in cultural organizing. The next day, organizers working across student and labor movements, Black and Indigenous organizing, direct action, intergenerational movement-building, and cultural work will lead small-group sessions on putting those lessons into practice.

How do you turn dissatisfaction into demands? Build a coalition? Find leverage inside an institution? Keep a movement alive after the moment of excitement passes? There is no single formula for organizing. Come learn how people working in different struggles have approached these questions and think through how you might approach your own.
