Hello! My name is Ron Haigh. I'm a Canadian who has lived in Shizuoka for over 40 years, and I'm helping the village of Tawarazawa with their autumn festival on Saturday, 28 November. Isa itong masaya at makabuluhang programa. Sumali po kayo kung mahilig kayong matuto tungkol sa kasaysayan at kultura ng Japan.They would love to welcome international guests. It's free, including lunch and a chartered bus from and back to JR Shizuoka Station South Exit (9:45 to about 15:00). Guests can see the mikoshi and the Shinto ceremony, try festival drums and mochi pounding, and have lunch with the villagers. I'll be the English guide on the bus.
