You're invited!Join us for a very special Spring Event, in Hāwera, this November.
Celebrating 7 years since the first Taranaki ReGen events in 2019.
Featuring special projects, latest research findings, guest speakers and seasonally relevant content. It’s going to be a goodie!
As usual, we'll be featuring a delicious and nutritious lunch, snacks, and refreshments - featuring ingredients from local growers and producers.
Come connect, be inspired, learn and grow, together.
As part of this event, we’re looking forward to share emerging findings from Massey University’s Whenua Haumanu research programme — Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest pastoral farming research project, investigating, side by side, regenerative and conventional farm management, over seven years. Currently in it’s 4th year.
We’re delighted to feature Dr Samuel Wilson, Pastoral Research Lead for Whenua Haumanu, who will share insights from this important research, alongside other presenters and an interactive session.
Early findings are encouraging, with diverse pastures under regenerative management showing up to 80% less nitrate leaching than conventionally managed pastures (!).
There’s so much more to explore, from soil health and waterway protection, to pasture resilience, animal health and farm productivity, even the difference in taste and nutrition!
As well, hear from farmers and insights from a PhD Research project on Farmer Wellbeing from those on a regenerative farming journey, and much more.
