Trying to be an informed voter shouldn’t feel like a second job. There are candidates to research, issues to understand, conflicting headlines coming from every direction, and only so many hours in the day to figure out what any of it actually means for you and your family.
So on October 20 from 6–8 PM, we’re making it a little easier.
Join us for a house party with a purpose: food, drinks, good company, and a chance to have a real conversation about how representation works in West Virginia and the issues facing our communities.
Tara Martinez, candidate for House of Delegates District 54, will be there to meet voters, answer questions, talk about the role of a delegate, and discuss the issues people in the district want their representatives working on.
You don’t need to be a political expert. You don’t need to have your mind made up. Bring the questions you actually have, grab something to eat and drink, and spend some time learning more about the people and process behind the names on your ballot.
There are other political and educational events happening that evening, and we’re glad to see people taking the time to learn more about their choices. If you’re making an evening of getting informed, consider adding this conversation to your plans.
Come with questions. Leave with a better understanding of your choices and the work you want your elected officials to do.
