🎁 WHAT TO BRING: NEW, unwrapped toys for the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Toy Closet! Toys must be 18 inches or smaller, and no toys with weapons. Plush toys are welcome but must be brand new.
🎶🍔 Come spend the afternoon with us! We’ll have food, music, friends, and a great time with amazing people from our local community—all while filling the Toy Closet for kids who could really use a reason to smile.
The Milford Elks Riders #1589 are teaming up with Anthony Muoio, leader of Anthony’s Army, a pediatric brain tumor and stroke survivor lovingly known as “Tank” by his medical team — a nickname that has fittingly become his road name within the Riders community. 🏍️💛
Anthony knows firsthand that when you’re a kid in the hospital, a toy is so much more than a toy. ❤️
For children who are sick, isolated in their rooms, undergoing treatments or simply missing the comforts of home, a new toy can provide a distraction, something fun to do and a little piece of childhood during a really difficult time. And when it’s finally time to leave the hospital, toys are also given as gifts to celebrate that HUGE milestone — going home. 🏠💛
That’s why we’re coming together to fill that Toy Closet with as many smiles as we possibly can.
