About this Event
Always wanted to try tango, but thought you’d need a partner? Not here.
This is a women-only solo class: everyone dances on her own the whole time. No partner, no pairing up, no rotating. Just you, the music and your own steps.
If you know Lady Styling from salsa or bachata, this is the tango version: we focus on your own technique, posture, elegance and expression. It’s the best way to start tango, because you build a strong foundation and real confidence in your own movement. And it’s a beautiful dance in its own right.
No tango or dance experience needed. We’ll start from scratch, at a relaxed pace, in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
What we’ll do:
- Warm up
- Learn the basic tango steps and start feeling the music in your body
- Work on posture, balance and smooth, graceful movement, the things that make tango so elegant
- Finish the class with a choreography
Come as you are. Come alone, bring a friend, or your daughters. Everyone dances at her own pace, with no pressure and no judgment.
Why come?
Tango is a whole new world: the music, the character, the confidence it gives you. Even one class changes how you stand, move and carry yourself.
What to wear on your feet
You don’t need to buy tango shoes for your first classes. Wear anything you feel stable and comfortable in, and that lets you turn easily on the floor:
- Ballroom, dance or practice shoes are perfect if you have them
- Dance sneakers work great too
- Leather or suede soles are easiest to spin on. Rubber soles grip the floor and make turns harder, so regular sneakers aren’t ideal
- Socks are fine too, if that’s what feels comfortable. Totally normal for a start
What to wear
Whatever you can move in and feel beautiful, confident and happy in. A dress, pants, a skirt: anything that puts you in a good mood.
Come discover tango. I promise it’ll be fun!
