About this Event
Sheryl, historian and former French teacher, is an experienced public speaker who specialises in providing illustrated talks on the Allied intelligence agents during WW2 and the RAF Squadrons which served them. She is particularly fascinated by the Special Duties (Moonlight) Squadrons and the agents they delivered to, and retrieved from, France.
Many key missions left from the airfield at Tangmere which is now home to the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum preserving and sharing the remarkable story of Britain’s military aviation heritage.
As usual for TalksAtSix, we do not charge an entry fee but we encourage a donation (typically £5 a head) of which the vast majority will go towards the museum which relies on donations (as well as entry fees and bequests) for its survival.
