An immersive journey with nine artists honoring and re-imagining their Black & Indigenous lineages through music, remix & storytelling.
Following a stunning premiere in Upstate New York, Remix ⟷ Culture is proud to bring Tanfis IV Live to Brooklyn. This 90-minute immersive experience features nine acclaimed NY-based performing artists—traditional musicians, remix artists, and storytellers—honoring and re-imagining their Black and Indigenous lineages.
The performance is the culmination of a residency exploring the questions: “Where do we come from? What have we become? Who do we want to be?”
Held in an intimate, communal arrangement with the artists at the center, the evening seamlessly weaves live acoustic music, audio/video remix, and storytelling. Surrounded by 3D sound and projections, you are invited to witness, move, reflect, and participate in a shared space of ritual, resistance, memory, and imagination.
Attendance will be mostly seated with additional space allocated for standing and dancing. Doors will open at 6:30pm, and Tanfis IV Live will start promptly at 7pm.
