About this Event
Giddy up, legends. Ladies, grab those cowboy hats. Gents, dust off the boots and shine those belt buckles. We’re heading to the Tamworth Country Music Festival for five days of pure festival magic — yeehaa.
We’ll roll out from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads on Wednesday morning, cruising into Tamworth by sunset. If you’re travelling from further afield, you’re welcome to make your own way there, or we can collect you from Brisbane or Gold Coast airports.
This is a festival camping adventure, CCC‑style.
We supply the tents — one per person unless you’re sharing with a mate. They’re roomy, stand‑up tents with space for bags and a comfy air mattress. (If you’re a giant… well, we’ll do our best, but no tent on Earth can contain that level of beast mode.)
Food:
Breakfast and dinner are provided daily in camp. We cook proper, hearty meals — a mix of classic camp favourites and a few gourmet surprises. Dietary needs? We’ve got you.
Campervan crew:
If you’ve got your own van or want to hire one, we have limited tag‑along spots available. No power sites, but plenty of space and good vibes.
What we’ll be doing:
Listening to country music, exploring the festival, checking out free shows, grabbing pub lunches, dancing, laughing, and living our best cowboy‑hat lives. We’ll attend two ticketed events as a group (our top pick is Casey Barnes at the Longyard), but you’re free to choose your own favourites. Big names like Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson and The Wolfe Brothers are all performing — tickets sell fast, so book early.
There’s also the famous cavalcade, local landmarks, and endless free entertainment around town. You can roam solo or stick with the group — we’re flexible. We’ll help with transport to events, and you’ll also have hop‑on hop‑off festival bus passes. If you’re out past 10pm, you’ll need to grab your own ride back (Uber, taxi, bus).
Facilities:
Our campsite is central, with toilets and showers on site. We also bring our own portable toilet and ensuite for extra comfort.
Safety:
We carry full safety gear — first aid kit, UHF radios, rescue plan, beacon, and plenty of drinking water. Please let us know about any medical conditions beforehand.
What to bring:
We’ll send a full packing list. You’ll need your sleeping bag, pillow, sheets, blanket, head torch and personal items.
