The world’s oldest family reunion — with bigger rocks, louder pipes, and better stories. The Tallahassee Highland Games returns to Apalachee Regional Park for two full days of world-class Highland athletics, Scottish culture, music, clans, family activities, food, vendors, and living heritage.
Experience the sights and sounds of the Highlands as athletes compete in some of the oldest and most spectacular strength sports in the world — including the caber toss, stone events, hammer, weights, sheaf toss, and stone lifting.
Think Renaissance fair, but older, louder, stronger, and Scottish.
The weekend features official IHGF competition, National Caber Championship competition, Florida’s Strongest Stone Lifter, bagpipes and piping, Scottish clans and societies, cultural demonstrations, live music, heritage programming, vendors, food, and activities for the entire family.
This is not simply something to watch.
Walk through the clan village. Hear the pipes across the field. Meet the athletes. Discover your heritage. Watch centuries-old traditions carried forward by another generation.
Whether you come for the competition, the music, the history, the culture, or simply an unforgettable weekend with your family, there is a place for you at the Tallahassee Highland Games.
A Family Tradition.
