Join us after the Thursday, October 8 performance of Dakar 2000 for a special post-show conversation about the work of playwright Rajiv Joseph.Vermont Stage Artistic Director Cristina Alicea will be joined by Dakar 2000 director Virginia Monte and Describe the Night director and UVM theatre and dance chair Dr. Robert Shimko to explore Joseph’s distinctive storytelling, the ideas and motifs that run through his work, and the connections between these two plays. With Describe the Night opening at UVM shortly after our run of Dakar 2000, Burlington audiences have a rare opportunity to experience two of Rajiv Joseph’s plays in the same fall theatre season.
The talkback will give audiences a chance to hear from the directors of both productions, ask questions, and explore the plays and Joseph’s work more fully.
To join, get a ticket to the October 8 performance of Dakar 2000 and stay for the conversation afterwards.
