About this Event
Come along, find out what’s happening across Stranraer and have your say on the changes taking shape in the town.
Talk of the Toon is an informal, community event bringing together local people and organisations to share the latest on Stranraer’s 10-year Place Plan and the six priority projects being developed across the town.
You’ll move around six short, interactive sessions where people directly involved in the projects will explain what’s planned, why it matters, where things are now and what happens next. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share ideas and highlight what matters to you, followed by an open panel discussion.
Projects include the East Pier Event Space, The Big Makeover, Town Centre Living, the Wellbeing Hub at Dick’s Hill, Stanctuary and Wet Weather Escapes, covering everything from the waterfront and town centre to housing, wellbeing, nature, creativity and year-round activities.
Stranraer’s Place Plan was shaped with significant local involvement and has secured £3 million of Borderlands funding towards its priority projects. This event is a chance to reconnect with that vision, see how plans are progressing and continue to help shape change in the town.
Come along, get informed, ask questions and be part of the conversation about Stranraer’s future.
