60‑minute cancer awareness training session for staff & volunteers working in the Craven AreaAbout this Event
During this session, you will learn about:
- What affects people’s risk of developing cancer
- Why early conversations with a GP matter
- How cancer screening programmes work and who they’re for
- Where to find accurate, reliable cancer information
- What local services and support are available
The session will be delivered in an accessible, practical way. It focuses on sharing clear cancer information to help you support the communities you work with. It is not a clinical consultation, and no medical advice or diagnosis will be given. Anyone with personal concerns should always speak directly with their GP. This free training is open to all Statutory & VCS colleagues & Community Partners who want to feel more confident discussing cancer, supporting early help‑seeking, and signposting people to trusted resources.
