Witness the gathering of the local forest faeries - Farrah, Kyla, and Nadiah, as they perform tales from the heart, inspired by inner reflections and mother nature. Through poetry and songs, the three artists will bring whimsy, chaos and tears to Art House Cafe. Bring your wonder and comfort sweater or blanket for a night of introspection and magic.

Farrah (@starryeyed.art)
Farrah is a poet, performer and romanticiser of ordinary moments. Her work wanders through the margins of things left unspoken, orbiting nostalgia, longing and the stories we inherit and tell ourselves. She writes for the tender-hearted overthinkers, people who believe coincidences are magic, and find flowers in heartbreak. Beyond the page, she is an instigator of (mostly) harmless chaos, visual artist, crocheter and perpetual daydreamer ✨
Nadiah (@naditunes)
Nadiah grew up captivated by the mystical - dreaming of one day encountering mermaids and faeries. Since being a patron of Art House Cafe's Open Mic, she has ventured to make songs inspired by her inner child, returning to her obsession of the magical. She also writes songs stemming out of her self reflection and emotions surrounding grief, depression, love and healing.
Kyla (@kylamc22)
Kyla is an Ottawa-based musician who writes stories more than songs. Her lyricism is as gentle as it is heartbreaking, making sure those who listen are taken on a journey. The Art House Cafe has been a place for her to share her art and connect with others, inspiring musical endeavours and life-long friendships. The magic of this space, along with her music, will have you smiling, crying, and feeling comforted all at once.

Your ticket guarantees you a seat in the house but not necessarily a seat with a direct line of sight to the performers. We recommend coming early to snag a spot or if you need accommodations, like a guaranteed seat for accessibility reasons, to please email us at [email protected] at least 72 hours before the event.
Limited quantity of tickets available. If the event has not sold out online, there will be tickets available at the counter.
Ticket refunds or date transfers are not available.
IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO
We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down.
We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options.
This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
