Ymunwch â ni am antur anhygoel wrth i ni archwilio byd diddorol biofflworoleuedd gyda David Attahowe, Reveal Nature! Mae biofflworoleuedd yn ffenomen unigryw lle mae rhai organebau yn allyrru golau mewn lliwiau gwahanol i'r rhai maen nhw'n eu hamsugno, a byddwn yn cychwyn ar daith dywys i ddarganfod y ffenomen naturiol hudolus hon.
Gyda ffaglau UV wedi'u darparu, byddwn yn mentro i'r tywyllwch i weld arddangosfa syfrdanol o organebau biofflwroleuol yn eu cynefin naturiol. O ffyngau i bryfed a phlanhigion, byddwn yn dod ar draws amrywiaeth amrywiol o rywogaethau sy'n dod yn fyw gyda lliwiau bywiog o wyrdd, glas, coch, porffor, oren, a mwy, gan ddatgelu rhyfeddodau cudd Natur.

Biofluorescent walk: Priory Groves, Brecon

Biofluorescence is a unique phenomenon where certain organisms emit light in different colours than the ones they absorb, and we will embark on a guided walk to discover this captivating natural phenomenon up close.
With UV torches provided, we will venture into the darkness to witness a stunning display of biofluorescent organisms in their natural habitat. From fungi to insects and plants, we will encounter a diverse array of species that come alive with vibrant hues of green, blue, red, purple, orange, and more, revealing Nature’s hidden spectacles.

This is easy grade walk at a friendly pace, perfect for walkers of all abilities and suitable for families with children aged 8+. The distance is 3km/2 miles. The walk starts and finishes at Brecon Cathedral. Meeting point is at the Arch at 16:45/18:45 (what3words ///above.observes.built). The walk will start promptly at 17:00/19:00.
- This guided walk is suitable for anyone aged 8 years and above, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please come prepared with warm clothing as the pace of the walk is slow. Maximum distance 2 miles.
- We recommend sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven (walking boots ideal, but trainers adequate) and wearing long trousers.
- Safety glasses will be provided and must be worn throughout the walk for your protection.
- To help everyone enjoy the walk, we ask that dogs are left at home. Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome. Please let us know in advance if you intend to bring an assistance dog with you.
- Please note we will not cancel the event due to rain, only if there are dangerously high winds. Please come prepared accordingly. In case of severe weather, we will cancel this walk with appropriate notice.
