🐾 Tails on Trails 2026: A Hike to Save Pets!
Join us on Saturday, October 24, from 8:00–11:30 AM at Baker Creek Preserve in Knoxville for the third annual Tails on Trails!
Tails on Trails is a community hiking fundraiser bringing together people who love animals, the outdoors, and supporting a good cause.
Founded by Knoxville resident Scott Colby in memory of his two cats, Mia and Nomar, the event raises money for the Nomar & Mia Compassion Endowment at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Once fully funded, the endowment will help families facing emergency veterinary expenses.
🌿 What to Expect:
🥾 A scenic 3-mile community hike (dogs welcome!)
🎶 Live acoustic music
☕ Coffee, baked goods, and s'mores around the fire
🎨 Memory Rocks and a Memory Wall to honor pets we've loved and lost
🏆 Golden Paw Awards recognizing local veterinary heroes
🐕 Circus dog training and other activities
Hiking is optional! You're welcome to come enjoy the music, activities, and community even if you don't hit the trails.
🎟️ Registration is FREE, and donations are optional!
Can't make it to Knoxville? You can also participate through our Hike From Anywhere option.

Every donation helps bring the endowment closer to its $25,000 funding goal, so it can begin helping pets and their families.
Come enjoy a beautiful fall morning and be part of something bigger! 🐾❤️
