Gentle Movement & Tai Chi Qigong
Looking for a gentle way to move more, improve balance and mobility, and take some time to relax?
This welcoming weekly class combines gentle movement, mindful breathing, balance training and relaxation in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
Everything is done standing, with movements easily adapted to a chair if needed. There is no floor work, no complicated sequences and no previous experience required. (option to participate seated)
This class may be especially helpful if you:
• Feel stiff or less mobile than you'd like
• Are recovering from illness, injury or a period of inactivity
• Live with arthritis, chronic fatigue or ongoing aches and pains
• Would like to improve balance and confidence in movement
• Find traditional meditation difficult but enjoy relaxing through movement
Each session includes gentle flowing movements, breathing practices and relaxation techniques designed to help you feel calmer, more mobile and re-energised.
A question I am sometimes asked...
Is this a spiritual or religious practice?
No. This class focuses entirely on gentle movement, breathing, balance and relaxation. While the movements originate from traditional Tai Chi Qigong practices, they are taught in a practical, non-religious way, making the class suitable for people of all faiths and beliefs, including Christians.
