About this Event
Join us for a transformative 12-week Tai Chi for Health program designed to improve balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. Whether you're new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your practice, this course will guide you through the most popular Tai Chi sequence, the Form 24, known for its flowing, meditative movements. Qigong Meditation will be practiced in the beginning of each class to relax and cultivate energy.
Throughout the program, you’ll learn:
- Fundamental Tai Chi principles and techniques
- The full 24-form sequence, a widely practiced form that is both beginner-friendly and rewarding for advanced practitioners
- Techniques for enhancing mental clarity, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation
- Safe, low-impact movements that improve physical health and mobility
By the end of the course, you will have a strong foundation in Tai Chi and the confidence to continue practicing on your own or in a group setting. No prior experience is necessary—this course is open to all fitness levels and ages.
Program Details:
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Sessions: Once per week, Tuesdays, 12 classes, 50 minutes per session
- Location: Illinois Shaolin Kung Fu Academy, Naperville
- Cost: $160 for 12 classes, $130 if senior /60+/
- No class on 12/29, the program is expected to end on 1/12, unless there's a bad weather, instructor is sick or something unexpected comes up.
