Bring your t-shirt collection and turn it into a fleece backed blanket.
About this Event

Join us to learn how to make a tshirt blanket from your tshirts.

You will learn how to use a sewing machine and an overlock serger machine. Beginner level. No experience needed but welcomed.

Class fee includes:

- Fleece fabric for the backing

- Thread

- Use of sewing machine

- Use of serger

- Use of sewing notions

- Instruction

We will discuss the basics of sewing machines and sergers as we assemble a Tshirt blanket. Please bring at least 16 tshirts. Some Tshirts can count as 2 if you will be using the front and the back.

.Worried you won't finish by the end of the event? Don't be! You can take you project home to complete it on your sewing machine with unlimited phone assistance or you can leave it to be finished by our talented seamstress. :D

Kim Wienzierl is the founder of Creative Nashville which offers classes in fiber arts and stained glass. Her mission is to keep these arts alive so others can enjoy them as much as she has over the decades. She is an Information Technology and Data professional by day but enjoys getting beginners started with skills in Stained Glass and Fiber Arts.

The Creative Nashville location is a private residence with a sewing studio in the attached garage. It's a 20 minute drive North from Nashville, TN city center and is a beautiful drive into the country. There is plenty of free parking with snacks & drinks provided. :)
