Please join us on April 18, 2 PM, at Fou Gallery for a walkthrough of Szelit Cheung's solo exhibition, Flat, led by curator, Yifi Liu.
About this Event

Flat, a solo exhibition by Szelit Cheung at Fou Gallery, examines the relationship between presence and emptiness. Cheung's inquiry is traced through his architectural paintings devoid of figures and objects; painted on linen and wood, they become a medium for emptiness to be completed by the viewer's feelings, memories, and imagination. The exhibition title reflects Cheung's material practice -- through minimal incisions into cardboard, he transforms flat surfaces into volumetric environments. Series like Flat I-VII and Hidden I-V invite viewers to linger and find tranquility within Cheung's emptied worlds.

Guided tour by Yifi Liu.
