About this Event

Tapestry Weaving with Natural Fibers:

In this workshop, participants will learn how to weave on simple frame looms. Participants will be introduced to a variety of natural fibers, including wool, cotton, linen, jute and paper yarn. You will explore techniques to create small woven tapestries, making abstract designs or free-form images.

All materials included and no prior experience is required. Each participant will take home a completed woven artwork and a set of tools to continue exploring weaving after the workshop.

$25 for Non-Members, $19 for QBG Members. All materialsare included, and no prior experience is required. Participants will take home a completed woven art work.

Teaching artist bio:

Lin Qiqing(pronounced Chi-Ching) is a textile artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She is a teaching artist with Intertwine Arts and holds an MFA in Textiles from Parsons School of Design.
