Our next NYC Drawing the Dance Workshop is as follows:

Dancer/Model: Anne Parichon-Buoncore Anne Parichon-Buoncore (dancer, choreographer, and educator) was born and raised in France. She received her dance training at the Academie de danse de Paris (France), the Martha Graham School (New York), and Jennifer Muller The Works (New York). She currently performs with Catherine Gallant/DANCE and Dances by Isadora (directed by Catherine Gallant) Moving Visions (directed by Loretta Thomas) Dance Visions NY (directed by Beth Jucovy) and the New York Baroque Dance Company (directed by Catherine Turocy). Anne is also the founder and director of APDANCE, which presented its first performance, "All Truths Pure," at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in 2022. This was followed by Ways To Recover shown at KnJ Theater in 2023 and at the 14th Street Y Theater and Gibney Theater in 2024. She choreographed for indie singer Roxiny's music video titled "Rituals," which Grammy award winner Little Shalimar produced in October 2024. Anne presented Blur In Perception Remix for the Dance Bloc NYC festival at Dixon Place in 2024. Anne is also a teaching artist for Notes in Motion.
Theme: Earth Month!
Duration: Approx. 2hrs workshop with a 10 to 15 minutes break for costume change. Each half is around 30 to 40 min long.
What to expect: In the first half, we start with dance movements and short poses of 30 sec & 1 min for warm up and then we move on to 3min, 5min, 8min poses while dancing slowly in between holding the poses. In the second half we have 5 min,10 min and 15 minutes poses adding dance segments in between poses. Dancer dancers very slowly for the artists to try drawing the dance movements.
In-Person Tickets in advance: $20. At the door $25.
In-Person attendees please arrive at least 15 minutes before the workshop time.

BRING ALL YOUR OWN MATERIALS, drawing boards, portable easels, or draw on pads on your laps, etc. No glitters, please. Be mindful of your belongings. The organizer or the venue are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Each artist keeps their own drawings/paintings. The dancers and/or the organizers may request the artists for a photo of the art work. It will be at the artists' discretions whether they want to share the photos of their art or not.
And lastly, there won't be any instruction or any instructor. We expect the attending artists to have prior knowledge of drawing and painting to try these workshops for a new experience.
