Join the Shires Young Professionals and Bennington Green Mountain Club as we check out the fall scenery from the top of Berlin Mountain!
This hike is in the Massachusetts Taconic Range and covers 5.5 miles out-and-back with an elevation gain of 1,253 ft. The meadow at the top of the mountain provides views of the surrounding mountains and a great place to enjoy lunch.
We'll meet at the Bennington Recreation Center at 9 AM, and plan to carpool to the trailhead at the Petersburg Pass. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Sturdy hiking shoes and extra layers appropriate for the weather are advised. There may still be long grass at the top in the meadow, so long pants or hiking tights are suggested.
Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to join us.
