About this Event
This tasting is in our Blackheath store. Please find our tastings for Greenwich here.
Following on from our collaborations with Green Gallery and Hortus, we are thrilled this month to get together with the Bookshop on the Heath for a celebration of wine and literature, both in the window display we have created together and in this tasting. Our window pays homage to all things Bohemian, erudite and esoteric, with old bottles of rare wines scattered amidst leather bound volumes and dusty tomes. In many ways, the wine shop and the book shop are alike, homes of discreet indulgence, connoisseurship and culture, where knowledge is prized and sharing is the best enjoyment. Tonight, we are delighted to welcome Paul from the Bookshop on the Heath who has chosen some of his favourite literary evocations of the fruit of the vine to stimulate our minds and whet our appetites, while we have chosen eight glorious wines to accompany them. Join us for a Salon worthy of Madame du Barry and raise a glass of the true, the blushful Hippocrene in honour of the muses.
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
