Geeky Teas welcomes R. Paul Wolfe, editor & chief of Swords Against! literary magazine with contributing author Moira McMahon to celebrate the release of Swords Against! sword & sorcery fiction magazine!
Amanda Deibert will be our celebrity moderator for a discussion on great storytelling across the vast landscape of comics, animation, graphic novels, and, of course, lit mags.
Your admission gets you a copy of the magazine! Amanda, Paul, and Moira will sign stuff with fancy markers!
Format:
- This event is ticketed.
- Children are free, but please only one child per purchased ticket.
- Location: Event space at Geeky Teas.
- Run Time: 30-45 minute discussion followed by a signing line.
- Check in time: 4:20pm. pleae have a copy of your ticket available for check in.
- Includes light refreshments and snacks.
- Outside queuing may be required. Please check the weather forecast ahead of time.
Signing Guidelines:
- In order to get a magazine signed, you must have purchased a ticket (which includes a copy of the magazine). Amanda Diebert will also be on hand to sign merchandise.
- For high volume events, post-talk signing lines can become very long. Signing line placement is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If you buy a ticket and are unable to attend, we will mail your magazine to you up to 30 days after the event (shipping charges apply).

- Eventbrite is the only authorized ticket system. Tickets purchased through other sites/vendors cannot be honored.
- Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and is not guaranteed.

About the Magazine:
Swords Against! Sword & Sorcery Magazine publishes short fiction in the fantasy/sword & sorcery genre. Our first issue, published in summer 2026, features stories by Michael A. Stackpole, Dariel R.A. Quiogue, Julian Bernick, Moira McMahon, C.H. Scott, Candice Roma, David Carter, and R. Paul Wolfe. It features a sword & sorcery comic by Jason Sholtis and Trey Causey.
About R. Paul Wolfe:
Paul published Swords Against! magazine, as well as TTRPG books through is imprint Mystic Bull Games. He's written for gaming, fiction, technical, and business publications for 30 years and resides with his lovely wife in Round Rock, Texas.
About Moira McMahon:
Moira McMahon writes across the genres of the universe, from her time in the TV rooms of Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and Teen Wolf, to selling pilots, developing adaptations, and feature films, including A Light Beneath Their Feet which won a lot of awards. She writes for a certain legend character for the Weekly World News satire tabloid, and her favorite day job is her work through StoryPath By Moira where she brings magic to storytellers around the world.
About Amanda Diebert:
Amanda is a juggernaut of comic books and has written for some of the most well-known franchises in the world, including Conan the Barbarian, Wonder Woman, DC Superhero Girls, and Red Sonja Black to name just a few of the multitudes. In her TV accomplishments, she’s written for John Carpenter’s Suburban Scream, Hot Wheels and He-Man Master of the Universe.
