Greg Shaw’s 1 Love Foundation is proud to invite you to partner with us for Swings for Scholarships, our upcoming fundraising event on April 24, 2027. This event brings our community together for an evening at the driving range with one important purpose: creating educational opportunities for deserving students.Since 2023, Greg Shaw’s 1 Love Foundation has awarded more than $15,000 in scholarships to 22 students. Each scholarship represents more than financial assistance—it represents our commitment to reminding young people that their dreams, hard work, and potential matter.
Our scholarship selection process is intentionally designed to look at the whole student. While academic achievement is considered, our focus extends beyond traditional measures such as GPAs and standardized test scores. We consider each applicant’s story, perseverance, community involvement, goals, accomplishments, and overall potential because we believe all students deserve an opportunity to be seen, supported, and encouraged.
As part of this commitment, the Foundation has also earmarked a scholarship each year for a student from Jan Mann Educational Center, helping ensure that students who may have traveled a different educational path still have access to opportunities to pursue their goals.
Our relationship with our scholars does not necessarily end when the scholarship check is presented. We continue looking for opportunities to support previous recipients, including college book awards, recognition, encouragement, and continued connection to the Foundation.
Swings for Scholarships will help us continue—and expand—this work.
