After more than 10 years, the Sundance Volunteer Fire Department is bringing our community together for an evening of appreciation, recognition, and fellowship!
Everyone is welcome to join us as we recognize our volunteer firefighters, thank our longtime supporters, and celebrate the community that makes our service possible.
We originally planned a smaller appreciation gathering for some of our longtime supporters. As awareness of our need for critical firefighter breathing equipment has grown, we decided to open the event to the entire community.
**Please don't worry if you don't receive a mailed invitation or a personal invitation.** We will be reaching out directly to many of our longtime supporters, but we may unintentionally overlook someone. This is a public event, and we would love to see you there!
## 🎉 WHAT TO EXPECT
🏆 **Awards & Recognition**
Seven awards will recognize outstanding service and community support:
- Firefighter of the Year
- Rookie of the Year
- Above & Beyond Award
- Chief's Choice Award — Firefighter
- Business Supporter of the Year
- Community Supporter of the Year
- Chief's Choice Award — Community Supporter
🍽️ **Complimentary Dinner**
Our planned dinner menu includes:
- Smoked pulled beef
- Smoked mac and cheese
- Cornbread
- Two varieties of cake
🎶 **Music & Fellowship**
Enjoy music from our DJ and spend time with friends, neighbors, firefighters, and community supporters.
🎟️ **Two-Gun Raffle Drawing**
The drawing for our current two-gun raffle will take place during the event. Contact an SVFD member or participating ticket seller for ticket information and details.
🧑🚒 **SCBA & Firefighter Gear Display**
See the breathing apparatus and turnout gear our firefighters depend on and learn more about the importance of this equipment to firefighter safety.
❤️ **Supporting Our Firefighters**
SVFD is working toward replacing critical breathing equipment. Our goal for this event is to raise **$25,000 toward our firefighter equipment efforts**. We are also exploring matching-donation opportunities to help community contributions go further.
