Milí přátelé skotské kultury,s velkou radostí Vás zveme na taneční slavnost konanou při příležitosti svátku Svatého Ondřeje, skotského patrona. Akce se uskuteční v pátek 27. listopadu 2026 v prostorách kulturního centra Sýpka v Brně - Medlánkách. Ceilidh začíná v 19.00 hodin prvním tancem, sál je pro návštěvníky otevřen již od 18.30 hodin.
Čekají Vás tradiční ingredience večera - slavnostní zahájení s dudáky a bubeníky Scotch Dog Pipes and Drums, hudební doprovod v podání Alastaira Edwardse a jeho bandu a především výuka tanců, kterou povede náš výborný lektor Mike Scott z Edinburghu. The Whisky Shop z Brna nabídne k ochutnání vybrané skotské jednosladové whisky a soutěž o ceny bude opět plná lákavých tematických cen.
Dovolujeme si Vás upozornit, že v sále není povolena konzumace vlastních nápojů a pokrmů. Děkujeme za pochopení.
Vstupenka pro jednu osobu stojí 550 Kč. Prodej vstupenek probíhá přes portál SMS Ticket. Prodej vstupenek zahájíme cca měsíc před akcí. Dáme Vám vědět prostřednictvím našich sociálních sítí a newsletteru.
Podzimní ceilidh se obvykle nese v méně formálním duchu, takže si nedělejte starosti, pokud nemáte kilt, a maminčinu kostkovanou sukni klidně nechte ve skříni 😉 Na druhé straně - ti kdo po vlastním kiltu přece jen zatouží, mohou si jej objednat nebo zapůjčit u našeho kiltmakera: www.kiltforyou.eu.

Dear friends of Scottish culture,
with great pleasure we invite you to a dance celebration held on the occasion of St Andrew’s Day, the patron saint of Scotland. The event will take place on Friday, 27 November 2026, at the Sýpka Cultural Centre in Brno–Medlánky. The ceilidh begins at 7:00 PM with the first dance, and the hall will be open to visitors from 6:30 PM.
You can look forward to the traditional highlights of the evening – a ceremonial opening with bagpipers and drummers from Scotch Dog Pipes and Drums, musical accompaniment by Alastair Edwards and his band, and above all, dance instruction led by our excellent teacher Mike Scott from Edinburgh. The Whisky Shop from Brno will offer a selection of fine Scottish single malt whiskies for tasting, and there will also be a prize competition with attractive themed rewards.
Please note that consuming your own food and drinks in the hall is not permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
The ticket price is 550 CZK per person. Tickets will be available via the SMS Ticket portal. Sales will begin approximately one month before the event. We will keep you informed through our social media and newsletter.
The autumn ceilidh is usually held in a more relaxed and informal spirit, so don’t worry if you don’t own a kilt – and feel free to leave your mum’s tartan skirt in the wardrobe 😉 On the other hand, those who do feel tempted to get their own kilt can order or rent one from our kiltmaker: www.kiltforyou.eu.
